What's going on?
Well, it has been quite a while since I've posted anything. Work this time of the year is very busy for me, leaving the house by 6am most days and working thru 6pm most days as well. Once February is over it will slow back down to a more normal pace. But I have a few moments right now to fill you in on some things, at least until the Lakers game starts.
Abigail is doing really well. She is growing and having new milestone moments almost everyday. Two weeks ago I left her in my recliner for a few minutes while I got something off of the computer desk. As I turned the corner to come back she was completed focused on me and followed me all the way back to the chair. That was a first - to follow me at that distance. She is also giggling and laughing a lot. She is so well mannered and smiles a lot.
Yesterday, we had the privilege of sharing a little bit about our story at a training class for Generations. There were several couples in the session - it's hard to believe that we were in that same class back in April. The waiting seemed so long when we were in the moment but now we realize it really wasn't that long at all. In fact, we had our training on April 23rd and our finalization date is April 23rd of this year. Exactly one year from orientation to finalization. That's really pretty amazing.
I've only got a few minutes before the game - priorities. I'll update some of the pictures, she's been sitting in her Bumbo which is just too cute.
Prayers to all.

A few more pictures.....
isn't she precious?! The bear picture is too cute. Jerry's uncle traveled all over the world hunting and has an entire room full of stuffed game. We couldn't resist the photo opportunity. As i look at these pictures that are over a month old i realize how much she has grown! I will put some more recent ones on as soon as possible.
take care and ENJOY!
Happy New Year!
We had an amazing Christmas! And this year is starting out to be great! Little Abby is getting so big and is growing so fast. She is so much fun too! She smiles and giggles. She knows our voices too. Every day is such a blessing.....it is still a little hard to believe she is here with us. Here are a few pictures and i will put more on as soon as I get a free hand. :)
love to all..........God bless and keep you.......

So Many Blessings....
Wow! I can't believe it! Last year at this time we were filling out paperwork for adoption and wishing and praying for a baby by Christmas. God heard our prayer and was so faithful. It was truly and amazing Christmas with family and friends. Abigail is truly a gift from God.
Let me fill you in on my last few weeks of being a mommy. It has been wonderful. I am really getting the hang of it. Abigail and I have really bonded and it is truly a dream come true to be her mommy. Every day she looks at me and smiles. I still can't believe I am her mom. I feel like I am dreaming...... She is so precious and truly the best gift I have ever received. We are starting to adjust to our daily routine now. I admit.....it was difficult at first. I thought I was super woman and could keep the house spotless and hold Abigail and all this on 3 hours of sleep. Nope!! That didn't work. But I have found a middle ground and am doing much better about not placing too much pressure on myself.
Another adjustment, and probably the hardest part, has been not working and socializing. I saw 100 people a day when i was working. As most of you know, I am an outgoing, social person. As beautiful and wonderful as Abigail is........she doesn't talk back to me (yet...). It was a little lonely at first. Poor Jerry...as soon as he would get home I would ask him 20 questions.
Also, I haven't adjusted completely to being so still all day. I am so used to moving and exercising all day. That part Jerry and I are still working on a schedule so I can go to the gym and de-stress and get back in shape. Yikes! I have gained 5 pounds....
It has been super busy with Thanksgiving, Mom's birthday, family here for Christmas and New Year's in Boerne. But it was amazing none the less. Little Abigail is so loved by so many. She had 5 baby showers!! We are so blessed to have her nursery completely stocked with diapers and clothes for many months to come. We have plenty of gift cards that we can use in the coming months for whatever she will need and to help supplement my lack of income. Truly......Jerry and I are in complete awe of how many wonderful people have supported us.
*Update......today I went to my first MOPS (Mothers of preschoolers) meeting. It was fun! A social outing for me and Abigail. It will be a great outlet for me. We made birthday cards and ate breakfast together. There was also a devotional. IT was great.
I apologize for the random thoughts. I just have so much to say....... Again, thanks to everyone for all the prayers and wonderful thoughts. I better run now........I have a ton of thank you cards to write to all of our family and friends for Abigail's gifts. Sorry to all of you that are waiting for the cards. I am a little behind schedule.......
God bless you and yours. Love,
Jenny
